WE HAVE A NEW ONE!!

No not child....LOL...it is a spring lamb that our neighbor found and gave to us. She is about 6 months old and as of yet has no name. We already love her to bits. Our Llamas are not too sure of her, but that is only because they do not want to share their food...trust me when I say that. We love all of our animals. Our Hannah cat passed away about two weeks ago of old age. She was just shy of 17 years old. I am not too sure we will get another cat though as I am just so allergic to them. King Solomon is almost 11 years old. We are pulling for him. He is another miracle. The vet said we would be lucky to get him to 8 or 9 due to his sheer size. He is a pure breed Great Dane that is not only tall, but weighs in at 242 lbs. He is slower and sometimes unsteady, but he still loves to steal food. Not too bad for an old guy. We also have another surprise, we will post it later. We have to keep you coming back for more.

How Many Ways Can You Say Tired?

The pictures speak for themself.

Happy 18th Birthday Marshal!!!!!

My how time flys when you are having fun. August 8, 1988 Marshal and Princess Beatrice of England made their grand entrance into this world. Our guess is their lives have been more than worlds apart. As for Marshal, for his birthday dinner for at least 7 of the 17 years, he chose cereal. We felt it was only right that we take this last chance to reflect on his childhood and have cereal for his special dinner. At first he was in disbelief that I would ever do that....but as you can see, I did and he finaly saw the humor in it all and quickly got on board with the plan. His girlfriend, Ashley, joined him at our home for his birthday celebration. Can you tell she does not like to have her picture taken?? This was Marshal's last official time to get to go through the birthday spanking machine. He was laughing to hard to really enjoy to impact of all of it. One phase ends and a new phase of life begins. He will be a senior this year and life is pretty good. Marshal has his on yard wor...

Riding with the Boys

Merrill loves his Boss Hoss and about once a month we get respite for the entire day and go riding together. Many times we go with friends. Yesterday, August 5th, we went with Paula and Mike. Mike and Merrill work at NDOT together. This time we had something different planned....:o) Paula just treated herself to a new Corvette, so we did the only thing we could do, we rode in the Corvette and followed the guys. We went all the way to Mammoth California, ate lunch, then took the scenic route home. I put on my sunblocked but still managed to get a little sunburned....major bummer for sure. Merrill was so positive that I would ride back with him that he took my helmet. Funny thing though, that thought never crossed my mind. LOL. I can't wait to see where next month takes us

Hot August Nights

Here in Northern Nevada if it is August, it means Hot August Nights. This event has been going on now for twenty years and it gets bigger and bigger every year. Merrill and I love to go and we take the chidren at least twice during the week. It means, cars, cars, cars, great music and dancing with Papa Clutch and the Shifters. As you can see, we have staked out our spot and the little ones have hit the dance area. Joey never did put down his chips. We were joined by our friends Jim and Mary. We had so much fun.

IT IS TROUT TIME!!

Yes, you can see by the smile on Jesse's face that he loved the trout that he caught. A while back he went one a camping trip to Bridgeport, CA and did some trout fishing. Last night we cooked the fish along with some salmon. Jesse just had to eat two of his fish and he loved them. If it was left up to him, I am sure he would mount the bones and place them over his bed. Joseph's nurse, Jim, told us about his tater sauce and horseradish mixture. We all turned our noses up at it, decided to try it and most all of us actually really liked it. Oh well, just goes to show that you should try something before you decide you do not like it. Here's to more fishing Jesse.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT IS MISSING??

What Mom could resist sharing these two pictures? Well, not me that is for sure. Can you tell me what LisaMarie, age six and Marshal almost 18, next week, have in common? They are both missing 4 teeth...LOL. Miss LisaMarie is very happy to show you all that are missing. Marshal on the other hand just had his 4 wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday and is not too happy about it. He remembered that he forgot to ask the doctor for his teeth so I called just as soon as I found out he did not have them, but it was too late. I guess the tooth fairy got lucky on that one. LisaMaire is working on number 5 and 6...lets hope that takes a few weeks. She is already having a hard enough time eating corn on the cob, one of her all time favorite foods.

One More Car Show Picture

Just had to add one more picture of the Winning Bike. Merrill just received his award and they asked our entire family to come up with him to get the award. It is hard to see everyone, but Merrill is holding our two grand daughters, Haylee and Emilee. Some of the children are behind the bike. It was a great day for all of us...I am sure he will do this again.
