WE LOVE EASTER

Personally I think that Easter is just about my favorite holiday. It really use to be Christmas, and I still love Christmas, but boy oh boy has that holiday ever gotten out of hand. I do not know how to even slow it up a bit. So back to what I started with, I love Easter. Easter is a time that we as a family have been able to totally separate the commercialization from the REAL REASON that we celebrate Easter, that being the death and the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On Saturday, we do all of the Easter bunny thing and I admit, that is just down right fun. The baskets are hidden all over, inside and out. I have to tell you, the biggest joy is when your basket is moved outdoors. It is a rite of passage so to speak. Well this year everyone with the exception of the three were moved outside. That was a biggie for all. Joseph, Micah and Jericho still have theirs inside as they really have no interest in hunting for Easter baskets. Micah only has interest in eating hi

Joseph Turns 8

You gotta love that birthday smile. It is hard to believe that I get so far behind at times here with our family blog. I love posting and I love knowing that even if people are not commenting here, they are looking. We have had many that will write to us rather than post. It is such a great feeling know that we can inspire people with our family. Now, all that being said, Joseph turned 8 on the 15th of March. We did not have his birthday party till the 16th. Sometimes it is hard to totally enjoy his party as he can't eat cake or ice cream, he does not have a favorite food as all of his feeding are through a g-button in his abdomen and his formula is what he needs, not what he wants. Oh well, still we have fun. Here Joseph is getting some much needed help blowing out his candles. Needless to say, McClain and LisaMarie are always ready to do just that. Looks like Merrill is helping also. Our favorite gift to Joseph was his new to him Special Tomato Chair. Medicaid will not buy him

TUBING AND SNOW FUN

Here we are in the last days of Winter and we are loving it all. We took the children tubing and boy of boy did we ever have fun. They had never been before so it was an adventure for all of us. They had to ride the tube up the hill by themselves and we were not sure how that would work. The employees at Kingvale were more than wonderful to us. They helped us out and let me tell you, it was great. They all rode up the hill just fine. No one tried to get out. At the top we all lined up for our run down the hill....again one at a time. The children got more daring with each run. Merrill and I loved the smiles on their faces and the giggles. They were so funny. Jericho made it is soul goal to eat his lift ticket. Micah just let us all do most of the work for him. Mordachi learned how to go down hill in several different positions. He was sure enjoying himself. LisaMarie was forever the big sister no matter who she was helping. She even raced me and was staying totally with me and then cra

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNY KELLY

February 29...how lucky is that. Yes, our dear friend and Nanny, Kelly was born on the 29 of February. Just forget the fact that two serial killers were also born on that day....LOL. Anyway, it was wonderful that we got to spend the day with her. The children surprised her at school with a dozen balloons and then at home she got one of her favorite cakes and homemade pizza, her favorite and then to top it all off two puzzles, which is one of their favorite things in the world to do in her spare time. (not that we give her much spare time) Nanny Kelly has been such an added blessing to our family. She helps with everything and we all just adore her. Thank you Nanny Kelly for taking such good care of all of us. We love you. Roberta, Merrill, Jesse, Jeremy, Micah, Mordachi, Jericho, LisaMarie, Joseph, McClain and Joey. Micah loved the cake also!!!!!
