Merrill and I did it, we really did it. We got some friends to watch the children and we went to Mammoth CA and played in the snow. It was colder than cold. The first morning we were there, it was -12 degrees. Oh my!!! We wondered what we were going to do, but it did not take us long to just jump right in and and enjoy the snow that we love. So first thing we did was try out tubing. We found a place that towed you up the hill about 500 feet and then you walked to the ledge and jumped on and down you went. We laughed and giggled like kids. Then we decided that we had to bring the children up here in a few weeks. The next day we went snowmobile riding. It was so cold and Roberta thought her fingers were frostbitten....they were not. :o) Again we had more fun than we have had in years. It is so nice to be healthy enough to enjoy life again. Lastly we rode the Gondola up to the top of Mammoth Mountain. It was -3 degrees there and all we both could think about is how cold the skiers were.....
Merrill and I thought we would teach our children about the world, instead we are teaching the world about our children.
