DALLAS HERE I COME!!!

Oh My, I was so blessed to get to go to Dallas and spend some time with my daddy. My daddy is not doing all that well and it was great to get to see him and to just hang out with him. While there I did get to see Tammy, Bobby and Bobby's wife Laura as well. We did not do a lot of things, but what we did was fun and memorable. Let's not forget that we ate dinner at Mia's. For those of you who are not from Dallas or who have never been to Mia's, I so encourage you to put it on you list of things you must do, or places you must eat at, if and when you get to Dallas. It is loaded with Dallas history and was one of the late Coach Tom Landry's favorite places to eat. It rained and rained while I was in Texas and I loved every drop of it. We do not get much rain in Northern Nevada so this was a comfort to me. Also while in Dallas my dear friend Kristy and her husband Jack came up from Houston just to get to spend about 24 hours with me. Kristy and I enjoyed some wonderfu...

SO FAR BEHIND :o(

Seems as if in this day of hurry up and wait, We have gotten way behind on our blogging. This is not a good thing and we hope to catch up here and now. Only you, our online friends and family will know for sure. In March Roberta got word she was ready to have the surgery to close up her leak and her open wound. We traveled to Spokane Washington in mid April, and stayed there for three weeks. Her surgery was about 6 hours long and complicated to say the very least. BUT, Dr. Trotter fixed her up, closed her up and after nearly two years put her on the road to a full recovery. Each day finds her stronger and stronger and learning to once again enjoy life to the fullest. This is a picture of Roberta and her online friend Tari. Thanks you Tari for coming up to meet both Merrill and Roberta. What a joy it was for all three of them!!! Here is Merrill in the Park next to Spokane River. Finally a wagon big enough for Merrill. And Roberta's all time favorite picture. Why call them port a po...

Just too Funny For Words

Okay all, I just had to share this will all of our friends. This is really too funny. On the 11th, Miss LisaMarie and I were shopping at Walmart. I was looking at some clothes suitable for wearing to the gym...gasp, yes, I am going to the gym these days...when our daughter wandered off about 15 feet to do her own "shopping". Well, anyway, she picked out this rather sexy white see-thru nightie and proceeded to yell at me, "Look Mom, it is xl and it is beautiful". Now mind you, I am dying thinking that she wants to get me to buy it, but the she yells, "I can wear it to church, it is beautiful". As calmly as I can I am telling her to just put it back as we are not getting it. She is begging me and keeps on waving it in the air saying she wants it for church. Finally I get firm with her and tell her to hang it back up now, to which she just replies, "I will just ask my daddy to buy it for me". I am dying, twelve shades of red when a lady laughing har...

WE DID IT!!! We took a few days away.

Merrill and I did it, we really did it. We got some friends to watch the children and we went to Mammoth CA and played in the snow. It was colder than cold. The first morning we were there, it was -12 degrees. Oh my!!! We wondered what we were going to do, but it did not take us long to just jump right in and and enjoy the snow that we love. So first thing we did was try out tubing. We found a place that towed you up the hill about 500 feet and then you walked to the ledge and jumped on and down you went. We laughed and giggled like kids. Then we decided that we had to bring the children up here in a few weeks. The next day we went snowmobile riding. It was so cold and Roberta thought her fingers were frostbitten....they were not. :o) Again we had more fun than we have had in years. It is so nice to be healthy enough to enjoy life again. Lastly we rode the Gondola up to the top of Mammoth Mountain. It was -3 degrees there and all we both could think about is how cold the skiers were.....

Introducing "THUNDER" from Down Under

Oh my is Roberta ever happy with her new puppy. This is "THUNDER" and we all say Thunder from Down Under. He is a year old and a mixed up mess for sure. He is great with the children, loves to play, chews on anything and everything, tries to get Kind Solomon to play and totally aggravates Zaccheus . Life with a new dog is just plain wonderful. Our dear Friend Nonie help to hand pick him out for this family. She is an animal control officer with Lyon County and she helped us out during our time with BobbyJack . We will forever be grateful to her for caring about this family.

Happy Happy Children.

Micah loves his gifts. The Piano Stepper is the best. McClain is all about the cars and trucks. He is all boy. Jeremy wanted a Disney Christmas and I think that is what he got. Justin is all about the Radiers and that is hard on his mom, a die hard Dallas Cowboy Fan. Joey just wanted to wear his fireman outfit. Nothing more, nothing less.

Christmas Was More Than We Dreamed!!

Mordachi and Jesse show off that they recieved. LisaMarie and Joseph are very happy also.
