In March Roberta got word she was ready to have the surgery to close up her leak and her open wound. We traveled to Spokane Washington in mid April, and stayed there for three weeks. Her surgery was about 6 hours long and complicated to say the very least. BUT, Dr. Trotter fixed her up, closed her up and after nearly two years put her on the road to a full recovery. Each day finds her stronger and stronger and learning to once again enjoy life to the fullest.
This is a picture of Roberta and her online friend Tari. Thanks you Tari for coming up to meet both Merrill and Roberta. What a joy it was for all three of them!!!
Here is Merrill in the Park next to Spokane River. Finally a wagon big enough for Merrill.
And Roberta's all time favorite picture. Why call them port a potty's when you can call them a Honey Bucket....now tell me, is that just a bit too weird or what???
Another big thing is that In April Merrill joined back up in the Reserves. He is tickled to have that part of his life back in place and we are all proud as can be for him. He has loved the military for as long as any of us can remember. Way to go big boy. The world is a better place because of people like you.
Merrill and the Family just after he was sworn back in....:o)
More later...we promise.

I SO loved going up to Spokane and meeting you at the hospital...and again the next weekend. Thanks for making me take you through the Bloomsday course! What a great day we had. Much love to you! Tari
My favorite memory so far with them was when we went to the Sac. Zoo with all the kids and they invited my goddaughter to come with us, that meant alot to me. It was neat seeing all of the animals and going down all the slides, but it was alot of work... walking Mordachi up all the stairs just so he could be a part of the fun that we were all sharing, well some of it was fun... well it was but scary when we thought we lost Micah, but he just planted his little bum in a train and sat there! i think we were all in a panic at that point! But thats what is fun about the family... is they keep you on your tip toes whether they know it or they just do it!
I love you guys very much and even though im getting a new job, i promise to still be a part of your lives. just promise me ALL the kids wont be in the will to me!tee hee.
